Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about Husky Central Vacuum Cleaners
1. What is a central vacuum cleaner, and how does it differ from a regular vacuum cleaner?
A central vacuum cleaner is an integrated cleaning system consisting of a central unit (located outside living areas, e.g., in a utility room, garage, or basement), a piping system within the walls, and vacuum inlets. Instead of a heavy portable vacuum, you simply connect a lightweight hose to an inlet and start cleaning.
The main difference is that all dust, allergens, and micro-particles are expelled outside the living space to the central unit, ensuring a much healthier and cleaner indoor environment. A regular vacuum cleaner recirculates some of the dust back into the room.
2. What are the main advantages of a Husky central vacuum cleaner for timber frame houses?
Husky central vacuum cleaners are ideal for timber frame houses for several reasons:
Quiet and peaceful environment: The noisy unit is located outside living areas, so cleaning doesn't disturb the peace of the timber frame house.
Healthier living: The system effectively removes dust, pollen, and allergens, which is crucial for allergy sufferers, asthmatics, and families with children. Timber frame houses are often chosen for their natural materials and healthy microclimate, and a central vacuum cleaner further enhances this benefit.
Comfort and simplicity: No more dragging a heavy vacuum and constantly plugging and unplugging it.
Higher property value: An integrated system is a modern feature that increases the attractiveness and resale value of the house.
Durability and lifespan: Robust Husky units are designed for a long lifespan and minimal maintenance.
3. What is "Hose in the Wall" and how does it work?
The "Hose in the Wall" system (sometimes also called Retraflex, Hide-A-Hose, etc.) is an innovative solution that elevates cleaning comfort to a whole new level. After cleaning, the vacuum hose automatically retracts into the piping in the wall – it simply "sucks" back into the inlet thanks to the vacuum created by the central unit.
Husky's "Hose in the Wall" offers the same technical solution as the systems mentioned above, but at advantageous prices*. Thanks to this, the "Hose in the Wall" technology with Husky is comparable in price on the Czech market to older types of portable hoses, making it accessible for a wide range of projects.
*Promotional prices for the Husky "Hose in the Wall" system are valid only when purchased in the Czech Republic.
4. Isn't installing a central vacuum cleaner complicated and expensive?
Not at all! While it's best to plan the installation of a Husky central vacuum cleaner during the project phase, its flexible piping system also allows for retrospective installation in existing timber frame houses. Our technicians will be happy to help you design the most efficient solution.
We often encounter the opinion that a central vacuum cleaner is a luxury item with a high price. However, this is not the case with Husky systems!
A complete Husky central vacuum cleaner system for a standard family house (bungalow) with a floor area of up to 120 m², including the innovative "Hose in the Wall" technology, labor, VAT, a high-quality Husky AIR 100 vacuum unit, and all accessories needed for immediate cleaning, costs around 40,000 CZK.
This is a comparable investment to a quality robotic or stick vacuum cleaner, but with incomparably higher comfort, efficiency, and benefits for health and property value.
5. What is the warranty and service for Husky central vacuum cleaners?
We provide a basic 2-year warranty on Husky central vacuum units. However, by simply registering the vacuum unit, the warranty automatically extends to 5 years! Furthermore, for most models, we offer the option to extend the warranty up to a unique 10 years, which underscores our confidence in the quality and reliability of Husky products. Comprehensive warranty and post-warranty service and spare parts supply are also available. You can rely on our support throughout the lifespan of your system.
6. Can I try the system or see a sample installation?
Yes, of course! We are ready to present our products and installation options in detail. You can see the system demonstrated at our branches in Prague, Hradec Králové, and Brno, or at any Husky partner location.
